One of the activities carried out in each of our meetings is called «Our history».
This activity starts weeks before the meeting, when the host school chooses some turning points in the history of their country. During the meeting students create short videos about those moments using toys to this goal (for example, figurines such as Playmobil or Lego) by means of stop-motion technique.
This activity requires some investigation about the history of the country. Before the meeting, in Etwinning, the host school proposes the «historic points» selected and, using Etwinning forums, students can ask questions to their host colleagues to better understand why these moments are important. Also they can start thinking about which materials they will use to make the video.
In the case of the Spanish meeting, seven historic moments and they were working on them for some weeks. The Spanish Association of Toy Manufacturers collaborated with this activity by donating some of the toys we used.
